[Final FINAL Update] How to Get Your Tomba! 2 in English (If You Purchased the Japanese Version)

Final FINAL Update: Some totally awesome fans on Twitter helped us identify what where some of the missing codes have gone. It seems as if the codes where sent to PS3 systems so if you are playing from a PSP, Vita or PS4, you wouldn’t have seen the code come through. If you don’t have access to a PS3, try the PlayStation messaging app or via the web. If that still doesn’t work, get in touch and we’ll look for another solution.

Final Update: The codes have been sent. If you bought the Japanese Tomba 2 game and still didn’t receive a voucher, either you purchased it after the English version was released or some other problem occurred. If you fall into the “other” category, send us a Tweet or email and we’ll if we can help solve the problem.

Thank you everyone for being so patient while the vouchers got sent.

Update x2: We’ve been listening to people and it seems like instructions for some haven’t been sent in a message. We’re looking into the matter and we’ll report back when we have more information. Again, thank you so much reaching out and for all your patience.

Update: After reports of people not getting messages on their XMB/PSN account, we got some further clarification as to how the vouchers will be handed out. There will be a message sent the week of November 16, 2015 with a voucher code to download the English version. If you don’t see a message on your XMB/PSN account that week, please let us know.

Original message:

We’ve been getting a few questions as to how to get the English version of Tomba! 2 since we mentioned that owners of the Japanese version will be able to download it free of charge.

Within a few days, Sony will send you instructions on how to download the English version of the game to the PSN account that purchased the Japanese version. We ask for your patience as the messages are sent.

In the meantime, check out this really cool contest to win a Tomba plushie.

I checked with Sony customer support and they said that they will not be sending instructions for how to download the English version of the game. I sent them a link to this article, and they said you were mistaken.

I bought the game in Japanese a while back, but as soon as it came out in English, not knowing I’d get it for free, I bought it again. So I’d like to know where I stand. Is there a way to get my money back?

I still have not received the supposed “instructions” to claim the voucher from Sony. Please elaborate on when we will receive the voucher more concisely.

Nothing for me either. The only thing that seems to have happened is that the Japanese version has been removed from the store so that it can no longer be purchased.

I’m pretty sure no codes have been sent to anyone yet.

I love that Tomba 2 is out now in English. Will we be emailed or will it be sent via psn messages on the voucher?

Same. Still no code. I don’t think we’ll be getting this. Sony is at fault for not following through, Monkeypaw needs to push them harder to get it fixed. Likely nobody is looking into it.

I haven’t received anything on my Email nor my ID 🙁
What’s the point of posting an update if you aren’t sending nothing.

December 14th and still no code from Sony. Are we to assume we’ve been had?
